Interesting fact:

The idea behind Dark, stemmed from a storyline for a crime show that the writers had begun creating years ago. When asked by Netflix to pitch an idea, the creators looked through old material and found another project for a time-travel feature film. Luckily for us, they decided to make a combination of both.
