Dark is Netflix’s first original German series and comes from the great minds of Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese. The pair first collaborated as co-writers and directors in their 2014 hacker-thriller Who am I: No System is Safe, which shares the similar heavy cinematography, discordant soundtrack and ominous aesthetics as Dark.
