Interesting fact:

The filmmakers behind the original Predator film tried to use actual heat vision for the creature, however, the heat vision camera proved impractical for the intense jungle shoot. So they used normal footage and later converted it into a negative print in post-production. Following this, heat vision was created by adding exaggerated colors to the negative.
