The Lion King was a groundbreaking feat in animation when it came out in 1994. The section of the film with a wildebeest stampede took Disney a staggering two years to make – and the animators had to create a whole computer program to pull it off! There was an earthquake the year the film came out and the artists had to finish the film at home.
