Interesting fact:

Chaplin got his first big break when he bagged a role in a theatrical production of Sherlock Holmes at the age of sixteen. He played a pageboy in the show for over two years! This was the role that began to raise him out of poverty and he once said, “It was like tidings from heaven”.
