Did you know that the Simpsons family were nearly drawn as rabbit characters? That’s right! When Matt Groening pitched his idea he came up with something totally new on the spot. He had thought that the family would be rabbits but then at the last minute switched them to humans! He says he drew the original sketches super quickly while waiting for his meeting and then pitched the idea to the network. It was a huge success, duh!
