Shadow Work Self-Test

Our ‘shadow self’ is a concept first identified by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung. The 'shadow' is the side of your personality that contains all the parts of yourself that you don't want to admit to having, so you are inclined to reject or repress it. When we do this, we stifle our growth. In order to repair, heal, and grow on a mental, emotional, and spiritual level, we need to practice Shadow Work. From time to time, we all need to do some work on ourselves – whether it be ditching old habits, figuring out what makes us happy, revisiting our work and health routines, or just thinking of a way to become the best version of ourselves. Based on the answers you give in this Personality Test – you will get a result that tells you which part of your life needs closer attention. Maybe it’s your soul that needs healing, or your body? Maybe your relationships with other people need to be reworked or reshaped, or if you’re clinging to the past, perhaps it is time to finally move forward. Let’s find out which part of your life requires you to do some ‘shadow work’.

“Beneath the social mask we wear every day, we have a hidden shadow side: an impulsive, wounded, sad, or isolated part that we generally try to ignore. The Shadow can be a source of emotional richness and vitality, and acknowledging it can be a pathway to healing and an authentic life.” - Psychotherapist Steve Wolf
